```The Human Empire``` `Origins` `The V’turian War` Circa 2030s-2040s, humanity is at eachothers throats yet again. China and the United States on the brink of war, a new communist revolution on the verge of breaking out in Eastern Europe, and so on. One night, during a covert operation in the Manchuria region in China, a joint MI6-CIA Taskforce, headed by one Cole Walker discovered an escape pod, made up of alien technology, from a ship, this was humanity’s introduction to the V’turians. The team made their way to a nearby small village, where the people had been wiped out by V’turians donning advanced armour, but it was nothing the taskforce couldn’t handle. The UK and the USA brought this up at the United Nations, as humanity realised they were under threat, not from each other, but a new foreign species. Defences we’re prepared all over the world, as they awaited the V’turians arrival. A message was intercepted by a human satellite, stating “Surrender now and live peacefully as docile cattle within the V’turian Empire”. The Director-General of the United Nations replied with a simple “No.” The next day, huge ships emerged over population centres across the world, New Delhi, Beijing, New York City. The United Nations Military was quickly formed, as a global military response was prompted. The war raged on for a year, taking a lot of life on both sides, a simple agent from the isle of Great Britain, Cole Walker, rose through the ranks of this new military group, becoming a hero amongst the people, and an urban legend among the V’turian mercenaries. As the humans destroyed the V’turians main base in the uninhabited continent of Antarctica, the mercenaries realised the pay wasn’t worth being killed by an advanced species who knew its own planet extremely well. All prisoners were executed, and months later, during the reconstruction of Earth under the United Earth Government, a message was received from the V’turian Imperial Government.
