🌌 WELCOME TO TENEBRIS 🌌 Ancient beasts have laid dormant for thousands of years. Eldritch entities burrowed deeply. Away from society, away from the ordinary world. Rising temperatures and an ever-changing ecosystem has awakened these beasts from their hibernation. A territorial dispute has drawn in hundreds of entities, attracted to the conflict. Some believe the town is cursed, in short and quiet whispers and beneath hushed breaths. Nobody believes the rumors, the missing persons or the startling media. The majority of humans are oblivious to the danger lurking in the forests, unaware of the horrors that lie beneath. A new species, or an ancient hellspawn? After the events of Marble Hornets, the disappearances seemed to become less frequent. Everything returned to how it had seemed, completely normal. But the darkness ebbs and flows, fluctuating between years. The emergence of new predators brings back the veil of unseen darkness. Those afflicted with the sickness are drawn to its presence, they return to the metaphorical and literal scene of the crime. In this world, it's eat or be eaten. Tenebris is a 15+ literate and heavy(ish) canon divergent roleplay server with a central plot that can be bent to each character's will. There's an air of realism behind each entity, just enough to heighten the horror hiding deep within. Creativity and headcanons flourish here, as long as members stick to the general personality and principles of their character. This is NOT a manor AU. It's up to you to form bonds between characters. The world is a cruel, unkind place. This server is focused on building an interesting and intense narrative. It is also horror and relationship heavy, you are encouraged to make or break bonds, be it platonic or romantic. In this world, every character counts. Every action has its own consequences, and every motive can loosely influence the central plot. But most importantly, we want our members to have fun! The world is watching.
