Welcome to Capecord! 🇿🇦 Capecord is a discord server dedicated to discussing the idea of independence for the Western Cape region of South Africa. We believe that the current government is leading us into economic and social disaster, and that the people of the Cape should have the right to determine our own future. Our movement is non-partisan, non-religious, and non-racial, and we welcome members of the public and all political parties to join us in advocating for the idea of independence. We envision an independent Cape that is free of discrimination, respects human rights, values freedom of expression, guarantees private property, and upholds the rule of law. We are committed to pursuing our goals through legal and peaceful means and ultimately seeking a democratic referendum to decide the future of the Cape. We need the support of the people of the Cape to call for a referendum with the South African Government, and if necessary, seek the support of international bodies such as the United Nations, The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the African Charter on Human and People's Rights.
