The multiverse. It consists of many stories, twisting, weaving tales that go beyond time itself. Endless worlds that engage our imagination. It is guarded over by one man, Yensid, the great sorcerer. His role in the multiverse is to keep the stories safe, make sure that people will be able to enjoy them for eons to come. His apprentice, Mickey Mouse, is easily the most recognized entity among the stories, making him the obvious choice for the job. Mickey took on the work with much gusto and excitement, raring to become a master of magic under Yensid's tutelage. Far too enthusiastic for his work, Mickey used Yensid's magic, but it was beyond his teachings. His attempt at creation resulted in destruction; pages upon pages of the protected tomes scattered and torn, burned and washed away. The damage was great, and created a rift in all realms of imagination. Those displaced by this calamity find themselves lost in the multiverse and must figure out their way home. It will not be easy, and timelines may have been broken in their home worlds. One place unites all the realms, Traverse Town. It has become the most frequent landing place for displaced characters of lore, but it is not the only place they are able to explore.
