We are the 28th Special Tactics Squadron Delta, a combination of the Special Tactics Squadron and the Special Forces of Delta. We are the Air Force's special operations ground force, providing special operations airmen to the Joint Special Operations Command. Our mission is to conduct classified and clandestine operations such as direct action, counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, hostage rescue, and special reconnaissance. We work closely with the Army's 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta and the Navy's Special Warfare Development Group.
