Lore: After a zombie virus turned into a global pandemic in the 19th century, humans built walls around the remaining cities and moved forward, creating new technologies and evolving over time. Unbeknownst to humans, the zombies evolved, their bodies became stronger, and in the 80s, they began to break down the walls, causing chaos and despair in the cities. Survivors had to adjust to their new routine, hunting and protecting themselves from being turned into zombies or devoured by them. The military in charge of Las Vegas still sought to maintain order, creating a prison for those who stepped out of line. Faced with a dictatorship, citizens formed various protest groups in search of freedom. Thus, beginning a war of humans vs. humans, even though the true "villains" of this story are the zombies.
